Customer story
Jason from Brown Hill has a 10kW solar system with a 25kWh battery. This is his app graph for 16 April 2025, and it shows exactly what a well-sized system is built to do.
Overnight. The green area is the battery. It starts the day at around 50%, and the house runs from stored energy. The small circled patch at the bottom left is the only grid power used overnight, and it stops at around 6am.
Morning to afternoon. As the sun comes up, the yellow solar line takes over the house. Extra solar refills the battery, which climbs to 100%, and the excess is fed back to the grid (the orange area).
Evening. When the sun goes down and the load picks up (the blue area), the battery covers it instead of the grid. By midnight it still has plenty left for the next morning.
That is the point of pairing the right-sized solar with the right-sized battery: use your own energy first and lean on the grid as little as possible.
